The 54-year-old actress arrived on stage at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, , in a bright pink gown after skipping the red carpet to reveal Green Book as the winner for Best Picture.

But people couldn't stop talking about Julia's youthful glow once she arrived on stage, and it was achieved with the help of celebrity makeup artist Genevieve Herr.

Revealed: Julia Roberts's, 54, youthful glow at the Academy Awards night was achieved with the help of $500-worth of Lancome products

Stunning: Celebrity makeup artist Genevieve Herr decided to do a natural silver look for Julia's makeup to accent the jewelry she wore with her hot pink Elie Saab gown

Surprise! Julia's appearance at the Oscars to announce Best Picture was a shock for viewers as she opted to skip the red carpet

'Julia's natural silver look was created to match the silver tones of her jewelry, her classic waved hair and to complement her bright pink dress,' Genevieve told

Genevieve first prepped Julia's skin with a Lancome Génifique Hydrogel Melting Sheet ($15) before layering on the brand's Absolue Revitalizing & Brightening Rich ($208) to promote extra moisture and hydration.

The actress — who is an official brand ambassador for Lancome alongside the likes of Lupita Nyong'o and the company's newest face Zendaya — then had the Prep & Hydrate ($35) applied to her complexion to serve as a base for the Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear in 230 Buff ($47), which Genevieve applied across the entire face, focusing on any areas that needed additional coverage.

To complement her hot pink Elie Saab gown, Julia's cheeks were accented with the Le Monochromatique in Petit ($25), which is a soft pink shade that simply highlights the skin's natural flush.

Genevieve then moved onto the eyes, defining Julia's top and bottom lash line with the Lancome Ombre Hypnôse  Shadow Stick in 05 Erika F ($25) before adding the the Color Design in 610 Lustrous ($22), a metallic powder shadow, into the crease for a silver pop.

The inner corner and lid were topped with the same powder , this time in Clock Strikes 12 ($22), a dark charcoal gray that was used to add definition before Genevieve added some extra drama to Julia's appearance with a winged liner look created using the Lancome Grandiôse Liner in 01 Matte  ($32).

Gorgeous: When creating the makeup look, Julia's face was first prepped with a hydrating mask and moisturizer from Lancome to promote hydration

Life of the party: Besides the silver eye shadow, Julia's makeup was kept subtle with a light pink on the cheeks and lips to accent her hot pink dress

Last, but not least, Genevieve applied the Lancome Hypnôse Drama Mascara in Excessive ($28) to the lashes for a final glamorous touch.

Julia's youthful look was then finished off with a nude pink lip that was lined with  ($27) and coated in Lancome's new Le Mademoiselle Shine in 232 Mademoiselle Plays — a stunning gloss that is due to hit shelves later this spring.

And as far as many were concerned, Julia's look was certainly a winner — with many suggesting is what a case of saving the best for last when she made her way out onto the stage at the very end of the ceremony in order to announce the Best Picture winner, having skipped this year's red carpet.

'Over the course of the evening we've seen highlights from eight films nominated for Best Picture,' Julia said.

'Each is unique in the story being told, each is different in its appeal, but they prove once again that regardless of who you are or where you live, these are films that connect us to one another.'

She then announced Green Book as the winner of the coveted Best Picture, a controversial winner for the Oscars.

Julia has previously been nominated for four Oscars during her decades-long career for her roles in 1990's Steel Magnolias, 1991's Pretty Woman, 2001's Erin Brockovich, and 2014's August: Osage County. She won Best Actress for her role in Erin Brockovich.
