What Went Wrong With The Walking Dead
2023/05/28
The Walking Dead redefined how TV is made, but its legacy could have been bigger. The show was a worldwide success and set the tone for the past decade of television, often being compared to Game of Thrones. However, The Walking Dead stretched its premise too thin, with pacing that became a problem. The show's big moments were lost among dozens of episodes in which nothing happened, and strange character decisions, such as Carl's death, confused audiences. The Walking Dead relied too much on cliffhangers, testing audience patience. Despite these flaws, The Walking Dead had some of the best character introductions, combining drama with action and following a set of characters who quickly resonated with the audience.
