Ezekiel, played by Khary Payton, was a standout character in The Walking Dead but unfortunately became a background character after the war against the Saviors. While Ezekiel was involved in important storylines such as his relationship with Carol and his cancer diagnosis, he never received enough airtime. Even in the final season, Ezekiel's storyline felt rushed, and his fate as the new Commonwealth Governor fell flat despite being the perfect ending for the character. It would have been great to see Ezekiel have a more substantial role in the final season, given his long-standing presence on the show. There is speculation about a potential reunion or future series featuring Ezekiel.
