The Walking Dead spinoff featuring the return of Rick Grimes needs to address several plotlines for it to be a success. His reunion with Michonne, an explanation of the Civic Republic, the reveal of its leaders, Jadis' fate, the reason why the CRM wants Rick alive and what happened to Heath are all important aspects that need to be covered. The six-episode series is expected to air in 2023 and will likely answer questions about what happened to Rick since his abduction by the CRM. While it may not bring Rick back to Alexandria, it can at least lay the groundwork for his potential return home in the future.
