A study by Agria Pet Insurance found that 56% of Brits fell in love with their pets within just half an hour, compared to the six months it takes to fall in love with a partner. 40% of those surveyed said they experienced love at first sight when meeting their pet, while only 16% could say the same about their partner. The survey of 2,000 pet owners also revealed that 53% cuddled up with their pet on the sofa, whereas only 36% would snuggle up with their partner. More than a quarter even preferred sharing their bed with their pooch over their partner.
